We have over 600 programs that we run annually here at Hollyburn with specific emphasis for children and family based programs. In the last 4 years we have increased our programs by 150% for children under the age of 5 years old. Whether you are looking for your children to participate in child/ parent play groups, or voice and guitar private lessons, we like to think that we offer it all here. Racquet Programs
Tennis
Recently awarded the prestigious Tennis Canada 2007 Facility of the Year Award Hollyburn has a total of 25 courts, including eight indoor courts, eight outdoor hard courts, four converted bubble courts, 2 clay courts and three grass courts. The Club offers only the highest calibre coaching, programming and leagues for players of all ages and skill levels, and has produced many BC and Canadian champions.
Our junior programs have an enrollment of more than 300 kids ranging in age from 3-18. We have a place for every age and every level! We offer the Playball programs for 3-5 year olds which focuses on balance and coordination for catching (volleys), throwing (serving), and rolling (groundstrokes). We top it off with the nationals program for Nationally Ranked Hollyburn athletes looking to gain college scholarships or turn professional.
Programs for adults range from learning the basics and core court conditioning to advanced stroke technique and doubles and singles strategies. Private and group lessons are available. Indoor and outdoor tournaments are held every year.
Squash
Hollyburns' Squash Centre has six international singles courts and one doubles courts. Hollyburn prides itself on having one of the best squash facilities in British Columbias. With a large viewing lounge, located at the centre of all the courts.
Badminton
With five international stardard doubles courts, a brand new taraflex floor and over 100 playing members, badminton is a major sports activity at Hollyburn. There are opportunities for social, recreational, and competitive players of all ages. The Club is recognized as having one of the leading junior badminton programs in the province and one of the most competitive programs in Canada. We are proud to have produced many provincial and national champsions, as well as international level players.
Fitness
The Hollyburn Fitness Centre provides premier facilities, people and programs that inspire everyone to train for health, train for performance and prepare for life! Our newly renovated facility ranging over 12,000 sq feet includes two brand new exercise rooms, three treatment rooms for physiotherapy/massage, and state of the art equipment all overlooking Hollyburn's spectacular views of Vancouver. Having the highest usage of any club area, it is buzzing with activity from open to close and we are constantly working to stay on this evolutionary wave by continuing to upgrade our facilities, equipment and services.
Our Fitness Center delivers a group of highly educated, skilled and professionally certified trainers and instructors specializing in post rehabilitation, core training, exercise physiology, sport conditioning and age specific training for youth, teens and seniors. Whatever your fitness needs, we are proud to offer our exceptional services to individuals, small groups or teams.
Youth
Hollyburn's Youth Department's primary focus is creating new and exciting programs for Hollyburn's Youth. As a family oriented club, we offer programs for children of all ages. By offering our youth a variety of programming options, such as arts and crafts, dessert making, ballet and gymnastics, we create different enviornments for personal growth and physical activity. Hollyburn is excited for our newly renovated supervised youth centre opening Spring 2009.
Figure Skating
Figure skating has been a prominent activity at Hollyburn since the Club opened. Programs are available for skaters of all ages who wish to prepare for competitions, improve skills and those who enjoy open skating. Over the years, Hollyburn has produced provincial and national level competitors as well as many successful triple gold medalists in the test levels. All programs are recognized by the Canadian Figure Skating Association and coached by highly qualified and well respected experts in the skating world.
Aquatics
Hollyburn’s state of the art aquatic facilities can accommodate both the recreational and competitive swimmers in your family. Our top level instructors teach a variety of programs for beginners, fitness swimmers and competitive swimmers. Spend quality time with your family in leisure pool, or take time to enjoy our spa facilities which include a sauna and a steam room.
Hollyburn's Hurricane Swim Team
Hollyburn’s competitive swim team, The Hurricanes, creates a positive, supportive environment that promotes the development of a strong work ethic, personal responsibility and team work through the pursuit of personal excellence in the sport of competitive swimming.
The recent success of the swim team, having multiple medalists at Provincial Championships and Age Group National Qualifiers has made the team’s programs extremely popular.
Training out of the club’s new six lane 25 meter pool the swim team offers programs for athletes of all abilities from the ages of 5-18 years.
Hockey
Hollyburn’s hockey program is a great way to have fun, get exercise and meet fellow members. Young hockey players, seeking to improve their fundamental skills can do so in Hollyburn’s various youth programs, such as Intro to Hockey and Cookie Monsters. Our competitive Minor Hockey League allows for skill development while working in a team atmosphere. Our Men’s, Women’s and 3-on-3 co-ed leagues are a fun-filled ways to stay in shape and meet other members who share a passion for the game.

Karate
Karate is not only a fun activity to learn, but is also a great way to get in shape. Karate helps young children develop eye-hand coordination and is proven to improve endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, coordination and balance in all ages. Our mission at Hollyburn Karate is to help our students build a solid spiritual foundation for any undertaking. We provide a safe, fun atmosphere for kids and adults to learn. While working in a cooperative environment, we attend to the individual needs of each student.
Curling
Curling has long been a popular sport at Hollyburn Country Club. Curling is easy to learn and it involves skill, strategy, teamwork and exercise. Socializing is a big part of the game, both on the ice and in the lounge after a match.
Music
Hollyburn is committed to broadening young minds, interests and talents, and has sought out highly qualified piano, violin, voice, drums, woodwinds and guitar teachers to offer private lessons at the Club. Lessons are customized to suit the needs and ability level of each student whether they are learning music for the first time or preparing for examinations at the Royal Conservatory.
